    Taking it apart

Keith drives the wooden pins that hold the timber frame together supervised by Steve Stier from the Michigan Barn preservation network. Paul Hensley used his forklift to facilitate the entire disassembly process.  Dick Braun waits to tag each timber. so we will know where it goes.

                                              All over

As the dozer starts to break up the cement floor Keith Klassen and Meroe Kaericher check out the rotted 12x12 sill timber.Only a short section survived .

The dozer could have been the complete fate of this barn but thanks to a generous property owner and the hard work of alot of volunteers we have saved a peice of local history
