Dickerson Barn Mural

On Wednesday, October 28,2015, SAHS dedicated the Dickerson Barn Mural with over 30 attending.  Gregg Bugala completed the second mural that was funded by the donatation to the SAHS by Lee Holland.  This second mural consists of four panels recalling the 1830 to 1900 era of Salem and honors Meroë Allen Kaericher who led the acquisition of the Dickerson Barn by The Salem Area Historical Society in 1997 and Gilbert Terry who led the team that relocated the barn to SAHS property in 2007-8. These panels are hung on the interior side of the east doors of the Dickerson Barn so that when the doors are open the mural will be visible to those on the outside of the barn.  Woijech Wolek built the mural panels and the mountings to the Dickerson Barn doors.
